KaloBios Elects Denise M. Gilbert, Ph.D. to the Board of Directors

PALO ALTO, California, January 28, 2008 – KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held biopharmaceutical company, today announced the election of Denise M. Gilbert, Ph.D. to the KaloBios Board of Directors.
Dr. Gilbert, currently an independent consultant and strategic advisor to life science companies, previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Entigen Corporation, a private life science information technology company. In addition, Dr. Gilbert has served as Chief Financial Officer of two public companies, Incyte Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Affymax NV. Dr. Gilbert started her career in biotechnology in the mid 1980’s, first in venture capital and then as a senior biotechnology analyst with Smith Barney Harris & Upham and Montgomery Securities. Dr. Gilbert holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. in Cell and Development Biology from Harvard University.
