KaloBios Expands Senior Management Team

-- Adds Project Management and Additional Business Development Expertise --


PALO ALTO, California, May 5, 2008 – KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a privately held biopharmaceutical company, today announced two additions to its senior management team that significantly strengthen the company’s project management and pharmaceutical business development expertise. Jeanne Y. Jew, previously Vice President, Corporate and Commercial Development at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc., joins the company as Head of Pharmaceutical Business Development. Thomas C. Yonker, who previously worked for Entelos as Senior Director, ISRD Operations & Program Management, joins KaloBios as Head of Project Management.

We soon will have three programs in seven clinical trials and Jeanne and Tom can help us manage and partner those programs.”

Jeanne Y. Jew joins KaloBios with over 15 years of experience in business development in the biopharmaceutical industry. Before joining KaloBios, Ms. Jew served as Vice President, Corporate and Commercial Development at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2002 to 2007 where she was responsible for all business development activities. Prior to Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Ms. Jew served in positions of increasing responsibility at Coulter Pharmaceutical and became Vice President, Business Development following the acquisition of Coulter Pharmaceutical by Corixa Corporation. Ms. Jew has also held business development positions at Scios, Inc. and Genentech, Inc. Ms. Jew holds a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University and a MBA in Business Administration from Cornell University.

Thomas C. Yonker joins KaloBios with over 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry in start-up to large pharmaceutical companies.  Mr. Yonker comes to KaloBios from Entelos where he held the position of Senior Director, ISRD Operations & Program Management. Prior to Entelos, Mr. Yonker held the position of Senior Director, Project & Portfolio Office at Abgenix and before that was Vice President, Project & Alliance Management at Corgentech.  Mr. Yonker has also held management level positions with InterMune, Aviron, ALZA Corporation, Synergen Inc., Glaxo Research Institute and The Upjohn Company.  Mr. Yonker holds a BS in Biomedical Science and a MBA in Management from Western Michigan University.
