Humaneering™ Technology
KaloBios’ Humaneering™ technology is a method for converting non-human antibodies into engineered human antibodies. The Humaneering™ process is not CDR grafting, nor a form of surface display, nor is it a human mouse technology. The process is fast, making use of bacterial expression systems and produces antibodies that are high affinity, but close to human germline in sequence. Some of the capabilities and advantages of the Humaneering™ system are:
- Retention of identical epitope specificity of the starting antibody, and frequent generation of higher affinity (increased potency) antibodies;
- Very near to human germline sequence;
- High antibody expression yields;
- Rapid processing time and automatable; and
- IP and therefore royalty friendly.
